Responsibilities

The Junior FX Options Trader supports the trading desk in managing and growing the FX options business by assisting with pricing, risk management, and execution across G10 and emerging market currency pairs. The role combines market analysis, trade support, and close collaboration with senior traders, sales, with a strong focus on developing technical and market expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior traders in pricing and managing vanilla and basic exotic FX options (spot, forwards, volatility products).
  • Monitor market movements, volatility surfaces, and risk metrics (Greeks, P&L attribution).
  • Support trade execution, booking, and post trade processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
  • Contribute to daily risk analysis, hedging activities, and scenario analysis.
  • Support client flow by responding to pricing requests in coordination with Sales teams.
  • Develop market commentary and analysis for internal use and client communication.
  • Ensure adherence to risk limits, regulatory requirements, and desk procedures.

Profile required

  • Bachelors or masters degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of FX markets and derivatives fundamentals.
  • Solid quantitative and analytical skills; familiarity with option pricing concepts and Greeks.
  • Proficiency in Excel; programming skills (Python, VBA, or similar) are advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, discipline, and ability to perform under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Some experience in FX trading, derivatives, quantitative roles, or a related front office support function.
