Job Description:

Delivery Assurance Advisor is a person working in logistics in a very dynamic environment. There is no routine, and every day is different as the Team might face variety of challenges. In close collaboration with Scheduling Team and Customer Operations, Delivery Assurance Advisor is the first contact with drivers and hauliers who are responsible for fuel deliveries to Shell petrol stations in Benelux scope. The goal is to make amendments to the schedule during its execution. The role is temporary for 12 months, shift work and French language are required.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Make sure that all planned deliveries take place on time and safely.

  • Manage deviation from schedule, i.e. both proactive and post-schedule amendments on the shift: redirects to avoid stock-outs, left on boards, terminal changes, load quantity changes, delivery cancellations.

  • Receive urgent order requests and create urgent orders within framework of delivery promise. Provide feedback of changes to planned shipments to other teams involved in the process.

  • Handle customer enquiries to change/amend orders, evaluate the real need and feasibility for scheduling changes, and liaise with scheduling team where appropriate. Ensure any Special Instructions noted on the orders have been processed.

  • Initiate surcharges for Left on Board and urgent orders to the customers. Ensure documentation and filing is accurate, up to date and accessible.

Special Challenges:

  • Continuously rotating shift system to provide 24-hour support ( 3 x 8 hr shifts per 24 hrs) -> morning shift 6:00-14:30, afternoon shift 14:00-22:30, nightshift 22:00-6:00.

  • Assess/handle unplanned issues arising from delivery/system constraints.

  • Assess the implications of HSSE requirements, customer on-site HSSE risk, discharge requirements of drivers.

Qualification required:

  • French at level B2/C1.

  • Ability to deal with non-standard situations under time pressure.

  • Great communication skills and inclusive behaviours.

  • Excellent stakeholder management.

  • Proactiveness, responsibility, accountability approach.

  • Experience with Distribution Customer Service, Road. Delivery Operations, Distribution Planning, stakeholder management, SAP or scheduling systems would be an advantage.
