Who were looking for

We are looking for an Investment Oversight Manager to own the end-to-end investment manager due diligence programme across both traditional and alternative strategies, planning and leading meetings, calls and onsite visits, and translating outcomes into clear internal summaries and actions. You will strengthen ongoing oversight of delegated portfolio management by enhancing monitoring models and reporting, act as the escalation point for investment management issues, and partner closely with risk and product teams to assess performance and shape recommendations. You will also provide competitor and market trend insights on request and support governance deliverables, including reporting for Boards and oversight committees.

 

What you'll do

  • Lead the investment managers initial and on-going Due Diligence process for both traditional and alternative investment managers (i.e. hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate, infrastructure etc.), including onsite visit
  • Lead the manager due diligence meetings, calls, onsite visits and prepare summary internal communication, as appropriate
  • Develop best-class model to enhance oversight on the delegated function of portfolio activities and reporting tools
  • Support Manager Research / IDD teams in management of DD request from Manager Research / IDD teams (e.g., ESG) requests / topics (e.g., Financial Crime)
  • Be the point of escalation and resolve issues with regards to the investment management of funds
  • Provide reporting on performance and liaise with product and investment risk to make recommendations
  • Perform competitor analysis as well as trends analysis on demand of the management
  • Assisting the Head of IO with governance processes including preparation of reporting to Boards and governance committees

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • Minimum 10 years experience in the Funds Industry, preferably within an asset management company
  • CFA qualified or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Luxembourg Funds Industry framework and UCITS requirements
  • University background: A masters degree in Economics, Finance or Financial Services
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Team player and sense of initiative
  • Proactive and problem solving
  • Good judgment, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Good command of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Available for regular travel to support business needs
