What youll do

  • Responsibility for a sub-portfolio of a listed real estate fund with a focus on commercial properties, acting as the owners representative 

  • Development and implementation of sustainable asset strategies and contribution to the preparation of annual business plans for each property

  • Development and implementation of letting strategies 

  • Leading and concluding lease negotiations with existing and new commercial tenants 

  • Management and control of external partners and service providers such as property managers, construction project managers, architects, legal advisers and marketing agents, and enforcement of the owners interests vis--vis third parties

  • Acting as client/owner representative for refurbishment and redevelopment projects, including the preparation of profitability calculations and project proposals 

  • Ongoing optimisation of property performance (income and expenses) and ensuring a sustainably low rent default rate

  • Carrying out valuations and preparing financial and investment analyses, as well as controlling, reporting and budgeting

  • Participation in and support of real estate acquisitions, in particular during due diligence processes and contract negotiations for acquisitions and disposals

  • Continuous improvement of the sustainability performance of all properties with regard to energy efficiency, CO emissions, etc., as well as contribution to relevant reports and initiatives 

  • Participation in the development of new real estate products such as investment foundations and funds

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need 

  • Completed commercial or business-related basic education, ideally supplemented by a professional real estate qualification (e.g. ImmobilienTreuhnder / MAS Real Estate Management) 

  • At least 3+ years of experience as real estate asset manager; an existing professional network is an advantage 

  • Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and independent working style 

  • A communicative and motivated personality who acts as a committed team player 

  • Native-level German as well as good written and spoken English and French
