Our International Graduate Program is designed to develop the next generation of leaders in investment banking. In our ECM European team, you will have the opportunity to develop through hands-on exposure to live transactions, close interaction with senior bankers, and deep involvement across the full ECM execution cycle. You will work in a pan-European team, advising European clients on accessing equity markets across EMEA.

What you will be doing

As a Santander CIB Graduate in our European ECM team, you will be an integral part of the Equity Capital Markets execution and origination team, supporting transactions across European equity markets. Your main duties and activities will include:

  • Supporting origination efforts of Equity Capital Markets by preparing marketing materials, including market readings, preparation of a company's equity story, investors demand analysis and preparation of credentials and rankings.

  • Supporting end-to-end ECM deal execution, including origination, pricing, allocation, prospectus drafting and regulatory requirements across European jurisdictions.

  • Monitoring European equity markets, investor sentiment, sector performance and transaction pipelines, and providing regular market updates to support origination and execution activities.

  • Working closely with both with the internal departments of the Bank (legal, compliance, equity research, ECM syndicate, equity sales and trading, product teams etc.) as with external teams and advisers (clients, investors, other investment banks, lawyers, auditors etc.).

  • Capacity to work with a high degree of autonomy in the execution of mandates in all phases of the process: preparation of documents, analysts presentations, preparation of marketing materials, coordination of investor roadshows and collection of investor feedback, timetable preparation and project management.
