What will you do?

  • Review, interpret, and analyze financial statements and related reporting for Commercial market clients.

  • Assist in preparing simple-to-mid complexity margin lending value calculations, financial covenants, and breach letters with oversight from the team.

  • Support the conversion of client files to electronic submissions via the Compliance Monitoring Tool – Covarity, contributing to process automation and efficiency gains.

  • Collaborate with team members to resolve client inquiries and ensure adherence to service commitments.

  • Help identify process inefficiencies and propose enhancements to improve workflow accuracy and speed.

  • Engage with stakeholders (e.g., CAG Risk, GRM, BSC) to facilitate seamless transaction processing.

  • Participate in onboarding clients to compliance tools and maintaining documentation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Solid foundational knowledge of financial concepts, including the ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and follow structured processes.

  • Professional communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with stakeholders and clients.

  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning.

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs. 

Nice-to-have

  • Coursework or basic knowledge of commercial credit, risk management, or compliance monitoring (e.g., understanding of loan covenants, margin lending principles).

  • Prior experience or familiarity with banking operations, internships, or projects related to finance/accounting.

  • Working knowledge of RBC systems (e.g., Synergy, OLBB, CMS) or similar banking platforms.
