What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a dynamic, creative and detailed oriented summer intern to support marketing and communications for RBC Regional Office in Calgary.

What will you do?

  • Leverage your creativity and innovative thinking to provide event planning and onsite execution of events aligned to regional marketing and citizenship partnerships
  • Provide communications support including writing, calendar management and general team support
  • Act as gatekeeper for the RBC logo and RBC recognition in relation to donations, small community level sponsorships and other communication needs
  • Support community investment team on various projects and logistics
  • Provide direct support to the Regional Director Marketing and Citizenship with strategic projects and programs

What do you need to succeed?

Mus Have:

  • Good attention to detail
  • Critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly efficient at MS Excel, Word and ability to learn other platforms
  • Strong teamwork and co-operation
  • Ability to simultaneously manage projects on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to seek creative solutions to multi-faceted problems
  • Personal flexibility to work outside of business hours and travel as required (ie. evenings and weekends)

Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

  • Be returning back to school after the work term ends
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
