About the role

The Finance team keeps Revolut moving with clarity and confidence. From accounting to strategic support, they work across the business to assess risk, guide decisions, and drive growth. Their insight shapes everything from daily operations to long-term plans and plays a key role in how we scale.

We're looking for a Financial Control Manager who'll report to the Head of Accounting. You'll be pulling together accounts that cover banking, insurance, and trading functions.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing consolidated GL accounts for EU holding and its subsidiaries in ERP Oracle NetSuite under IFRS
  • Coordinating the accounting and month-end closing process within the EU holding entity and its subsidiaries and branches 
  • Ensuring accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting
  • Analysing changes in key general ledger accounts
  • Managing the accounting policy, ensuring that it's up-to-date and latest changes in IFRS and group policies are implemented
  • Owning and driving the identification of required adjustments, and building out processes and documentation that translate IFRS into local GAAP (for Hungary and other EU countries)
  • Implementing process improvements to boost the efficiency and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting through automation and control measures
  • Supporting accounting set-up of EU branches
  • Participating in annual and interim audits
  • Advising on accounting and reporting issues
  • Contributing to and defining consolidation as well as financial control processes and procedures

What you'll need

  • A degree in finance or economics
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance and controlling function
  • Excellent accounting knowledge, with proven experience in IFRS and consolidated financial reporting
  • Experience in financial services, ideally in an international setting
  • A structural and logical approach to solving problems
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a hands-on approach to working with data
  • Experience within a fast-growing organisation 
  • Great motivation and focus on delivery
  • Fluency in Hungarian with excellent skills to prepare, read, and interpret accounting legislation
