Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to help in setting, delivering, and embedding a data protection and privacy strategy across our expanding locations. You'll collaborate in a fast-paced environment to advance the adoption of our Group policy and risk and control frameworks in the region.

What you'll be doing

  • Advising the business on local regulatory requirements and the controls needed to ensure compliant product and operational delivery
  • Reading and interpreting Colombian data privacy regulations and breaking it down into clear, actionable requirements for the business model
  • Liaising with the SIC, SFC, and other regulatory bodies on matters ranging from inspections to day-to-day queries
  • Identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on regulatory and compliance risks
  • Developing and implementing the local compliance management framework, including policies, training, monitoring, and reporting processes
  • Ensuring scheduled monitoring and reported findings are carried out and followed up on
  • Continuously reviewing the Compliance Monitoring Plan for optimisation
  • Working with global DPOs and Compliance Managers to ensure that local risk management frameworks and processes are aligned with global ones

What you'll need

  • Experience in a regulatory compliance role within a financial institution, fintech, bank, or consultancy in data privacy matters and regulation
  • Expertise in Colombian data privacy, financial regulations, and supervisory expectations, ideally including experience with the SIC and SFC
  • The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects at once, and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of how to conduct regulatory gap analysis
  • Familiarity with policy creation and implementation
  • Experience in compliance risk management within a consultancy, compliance function, or a regulator
  • A proactive mindset and motivation to keep developing expertise in local regulation, compliance frameworks, and emerging financial products

Nice to have

  • A professional certificate/diploma in compliance or data privacy, and/or a willingness to take exams in the future
  • A degree in law, business, or finance
