  • Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 4,931 and EUR 7,043 (scale 09) for a 36-hour work week.

  • Hybrid working: a balance between home and office work (possible for most roles).

Third Party Audit & Assurance Specialist

You and your job

As a Third Party Audit & Assurance Specialist with a supplier financial analysis skillset and experience, you contribute to the effective management of supplier risks (incl. subcontracting) by performing first line style audits and assessing financial resilience. This helps Rabobank to maintain a high level of trust in its suppliers. You act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring that operational and financial risks and control environments are transparent, well understood, and aligned with Rabobanks risk frameworks.

In this role, you perform independent assessments, challenge findings where needed, and support decision-making related to supplier engagement and risk acceptance.

Practical examples

  • Performing a financial risk assessment of a supplier during onboarding or periodic review
  • Reviewing assurance reports(eg, SOC 1, 2, ISAE 3000 / 3402) and determining whether the control environment of the supplier provides sufficient assurance on financial reporting
  • Conducting a first line risk-style audit at a supplier, including interviews and document reviews
  • Identifying inconsistencies between reported controls and actual supplier practices
  • Supporting colleagues by providing expertise on financial and assurance-related supplier risks

Your responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for supplier financial validation, including assessment of:
    • Financial statements and key financial risk indicators
    • Financial sustainability and potential continuity risks
  • Perform first line of risk-style audits at suppliers, covering financial, operational, and compliance domains
  • Support coordination and quality checks of assurance review activities, including SOC and ISO-based reviews
  • Document findings clearly and support follow-up actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial risk and assurance assessment practices

Your profile

  • Experience in third party risk management, financial risk analysis, audit, or assurance-related roles. Experience as a SOC auditor or analyst would be ideal.
  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial and assurance documentation
  • Demonstrates insights in working with our suppliers in understanding their context so as to work effectively with them
  • Ability to review and challenge supplier-provided documentation and assurance evidence
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and scenario-based thinking
  • Clear communicator who can translate risks into practical insights
  • Structured, quality-oriented, and able to work independently within clear frameworks
