About the role:
At Rabobank, our CRO Domain serves as the bank’s Line 2 Compliance & Risk function, ensuring we operate within risk appetite while driving innovation & supporting the Australia & New Zealand strategy. Within this domain, the Integrated Risk Management focuses on early identification, assessment, and prioritisation of risks by delivering a clear, consistent approach through a strong risk management framework and governance. .
As Senior Manager, Risk Governance & Frameworks, you will join a highly engaged team who work a hybrid mix of in the office & from home. You will play a pivotal role in shaping & embedding risk management frameworks across Australia & New Zealand. This is a hands on role where you will help identify, assess, & prioritise risk through a consistent, integrated approach that strengthens our resilience, aligns with regulatory standards & supports strategic growth.
Top Role Accountabilities:
- Maintain the Risk Management Strategy & Framework (RMSF) for 4 entities, detailing the material risks identified, as described in APRA Prudential Standard CPS 220, & the frameworks in place to manage these risks.
- Assess and recommend changes to the Risk Management Framework following material changes in size, business mix, or complexity..
- Implement enhancements arising from internal or external reviews.
- Monitor CPS 220 action plans & provide half-yearly status updates to the risk management committee.
- Notify the Head of Risk Governance & Frameworks of significant breaches or material deviation from the Risk Management Framework.
- Prepare a unified assurance map for Australia & New Zealand coordinating assurance planning across Line 2, Line 3 and external providers.
- Prepare the annual Risk Management Declaration to enable the Board & Senior Officer Outside Australia to make declarations on the effectiveness of the Risk Management Framework.
- Contribute to Integrated Risk initiatives for alignment & consistency.
- Support the Head of Risk Governance & Frameworks in resolving issues & advancing the risk agenda.
To be successful in the you, you will have:
- 10 + years’ experience in financial services with a minimum of 5 years in Enterprise/Integrated Risk Management
- Proven experience managing Risk Management Frameworks
- Deep knowledge of risk & compliance practices in Australian and New Zealand banking.
- Excellent ability to influence, negotiate & gain stakeholder support leading to commitment to action & outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal & written) enabling effective workshops/presentations targeted for relevant audience.
- A knack for ensuring usability & ease of communication of written material.
- Proven ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment & translate into internal environment.
