About the Role

We are seeking a high-performing National Business Development Manager Deposits to drive strategic growth, lead generation, and revenue outcomes within one of fastest growing business lines of the bank.

In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering commercial success by developing new deposit opportunities, managing key client relationships, and executing sales strategies aligned with broader organisational objectives. You will operate as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, contributing to both immediate revenue growth and the long-term strategic positioning of the business.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed defined revenue and balance growth targets
  • Lead end-to-end sales processes including lead generation, client engagement, proposal development, and deal closing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, intermediaries, and clients
  • Identify and capitalise on strategic market opportunities
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, pitches, and contract negotiations
  • Manage sales pipelines and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives and deliver client value
  • Represent Rabobank Deposits at key industry events
  • Provide ongoing client aftercare to strengthen long-term partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, risk management, and internal governance frameworks
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy

Experience & Job Specifications

Essential:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in management, sales, and lead generation within banking, financial services, investment and/or superannuation
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful sales strategies
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Experience managing stakeholders and building relationships at executive level
  • Sound understanding of financial services regulations (APRA Prudential Standards, Basel frameworks)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and provide strategic insights
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with intermediaries (preferred)

Desirable:

  • Experience in deposits and/or Food & Agri industry
  • Financial planning experience or PS146/RG105 compliance
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Marketing or related discipline
