Your future role within QRT

You will work on the HPC Research Platform, building and evolving an in-house research platform that provides efficient, secure access to compute and data for research teams across the organisation. The focus is on enabling the execution of large-scale compute pipelines by developing the services and tools that underpin job submission, scheduling, security, and observability across a range of environments. You will collaborate closely with Quantitative Researchers as well as engineering and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver a platform that supports computational research at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop libraries, APIs, services, and systems to meet the compute demands of quantitative researchers across the company 
  • Implement and design software to facilitate an orchestration-driven approach to managing massive compute clusters 
  • Collaborate with quantitative researchers and cross-functional teams to deliver a secure, integrated platform for compute access 
  • Exposure to the design and implementation of HPC research tooling on state-of-the-art infrastructure 

Your Present Skillset 

  • BSc/MEng/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years software development experience 
  • Experience with Python and interest in the Go programming language 
  • (Required) Proven expertise in the design and development of large-scale distributed systems 
  • (Preferred) Previous experience in quantitative finance working with researchers 
  • Flexible in adopting new technologies and a proactive approach to continuous skill development 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
