JOB DESCRIPTION
Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity The Independence, Conflicts and Ethics Team forms a vital part of One Firm Risk Management, working at the heart of the business to ensure all regulatory, ethical, and operational responsibilities are met. This team offers policy guidance and operational support, while also closely monitoring compliance with both internal and external regulations, such as independence, business conduct, and ethics requirements. Members of the team regularly engage with colleagues across the business, providing practical, solutions-focused advice to protect the firm’s reputation and regulatory standing. Joining the team as a manager offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute significantly during a period of process establishment and innovation. The central focus of the role is to support Partners and staff in maintaining compliance with independence regulatory requirements.

What your days will look like: 

  • Provide expert advice on risk, compliance, and independence, interpreting firm policies and external regulations.
  • Manage and coach junior team members to develop technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Oversee and improve compliance and independence processes for operational effectiveness. Support audit tenders, client onboarding, and non-audit service assessments to ensure rule adherence.
  • Lead or contribute to projects such as regulatory reporting, breach investigations, and process enhancements.
  • Engage with stakeholders across all levels and the global network to foster ethical culture and continuous improvement.

The role is for you if: 

  • you have experience in risk management, compliance, or related disciplines; independence/conflicts knowledge is preferred.
  • you have proven analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • you have excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information confidently.
  • you have a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • you are skilled in coaching and people management, with adaptability to changing regulations.
  • you possess a commercial awareness, resilience under pressure, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
