JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

Strategy& is PwC’s global strategy consulting business, as well as the only at-scale strategy business inside a professional services network. Strategy&'s unique combination of strategic expertise and scale provides outstanding opportunities for rapid professional growth.

You'll be part of a global team solving challenging strategic problems for our clients through innovative ideas and thought leadership. In return, our culture gives you the opportunity to challenge conventional thinking and a tailored mentorship to help you develop and progress.

As a Strategy Consultant, you will work with leading corporate clients and investors, helping and supporting them tackle their toughest decisions. Your engagements will include a mix of corporate strategy (growth strategy, market entry, pricing, commercial excellence, product strategy, target operating model) and transaction-related work (commercial due diligence and pre- and post-deal value creation). Your work will be varied, fast paced - no engagement is ever the same.

In our Strategy team, you’ll be joining a market-leading and fast growing team that works with leading businesses, private equity and venture capital investors, supporting them across the Corporate & Deal cycle, from pre-deal to post-deal value creation.

What your days will look like:

  • Running projects on a day-to-day basis, structuring and managing the work streams and supervising delivery
  • Delivering client projects and supporting junior members of the team
  • Delivering strategy consulting (incl target operating model programmes) across industry sectors
  • Planning initial hypotheses and analysis; formulating initial hypotheses based on previous experience, knowledge of the sector and understanding of the scope of work

This role is for you if:

  • You’ll have a very structured approach to problem solving and exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong client management skills, including an understanding of how to communicate with clients of different backgrounds and opinions
  • An ability to multitask effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively
  • Experience within Private Equity (investment or operational role)
  • Managerial experience of strategic commercial consulting or business development from within a large corporate Industrials and/or Business Services company
  • Significant experience from either a strategy consulting firm or strategy position in industry, with experience in conducting and managing strategy consulting projects including but not limited to commercial diligence, growth strategy, target operating model, etc.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
