We are looking for a Solution Analyst to strengthen our risk framework in the cross field of IT and Risk Management through a full-time employment agreement. 

 

About our team

 

Meet the Risk Management Solutions team. Our role is to support Risk Management with accurate risk data and strong processes on investment products to ensure informed decision-making. Our team is a highly specialized and skilled group of 5 professionals within Nordea Asset Management working efficiently to optimize risk management processes. We cover pre/post trade compliance results, counterparty risk, credit risk, sustainability risk in addition to market risk and liquidity risk. The team members are allocated to a value stream where we work via agile methods and prioritise via a backlog. The position is based in Copenhagen, Christiansbro.

What youll be doing

 

As the Solution Analyst, you will support the team in enhancing and developing our risk framework. You will play a part in securing a stable setup around our data from Simcorp dimensions Compliance Manager as well as MSCI risk manager and assisting in ensuring we calculate accurate risk figures for our risk areas. This is an interesting opportunity to work in the cross field of IT and finance where it is possible to set your own mark but also to learn and develop yourself.

 

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Contribute to future solutions and support in designing and specifying the future risk management landscape. Especially the pre/post trade processes will be your focus at first, later it may be the counterparty/credit risk area.
  • Learn how we do risk management on our investment funds and be proficient in the risk data we produce. You will work with the data to create solutions together with our IT Organisation in a value stream. At, current we have 6 developers allocated which allows us to move on what we deem most important.
  • Work with a wide range of solutions ranging from Excel VBA solutions to PowerBI reports, SQL or python scripts.
  • Be part of the team supervising our automated risk management system flow (MSCI Risk Manager). You will share the responsibility with 4 other colleagues.
  • Occasionally be handling production errors and data quality alerts, which to some extent involves debugging IT solutions. This requires high skills in SQL and large data knowledge.

 

Who you are

 

This is the right role for you if you work in a structured manner with a focus on quality, have a strong interest in technical IT solutions, and can adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment where finance and technology intersect. 

 

Your background and skills include:

  • Masters degree in finance, economics, mathematics or data science
  • 3-5 years of work experience in the financial sector.
  • Extensive experience with data in SQL, VBA and Python and potentially have knowledge of Microsoft reporting solutions (SSRS, Power BI), Tabular models, Airflow or Snowflake. We are evaluating new technologies ongoingly so experience with alternative technologies is a plus
  • Fluently English communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

It would be ideal if you also: 

  • Have experience within risk management and ideally MSCI Risk manager & Simcorp Dimension.
  • Have Experience from working in an agile environment and have participated in agile ceremonies.
