We are now looking for an IT Developer/Data Engineer to work with data engineering for Capital and Credit Data Foundation by developing data products that enable business processes with large financial and strategic impact. About our team
We are building a new Core Banking Platform (N-core) based on modern technology. The new platform will host savings and deposits accounts, transaction accounts and loans - all in a common Nordic set up. We are supporting the Business Technology strategy by concentrating business volumes to one common platform.
We are an international team with many different nationalities consist of Product Managers, Product Owners, IT Analysts and Business Analysts. We are responsible for the CBP backlog, refining the backlog features & business use cases and requirements gathering.
What youll be doing
You will be responsible for optimizing data workflows, writing efficient scripting code e.g. bash, python and SQL, and manage both on prem and cloud-based hybrid infrastructure.
This role is based in Helsinki, Finland. This is a new permanent role.
You'll be responsible for:
- Design, build and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipeline
- Develop and optimize PLSQL queries and database objects for high performance data storage in Snowflake & Oracle
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure and workflow automation
- Understand and have experience of database change management
- Integrate and manage modern data stack
- Monitor, debug and optimize data workflows and infrastructure performance
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with good practices
Your skills and background:
- Computer Engineering, Engineering BSc, MSc , PhD in Computer Science or other relevant fields
- Proficient in designing OLAP system and using techniques like STAR schema, Snowflake Schema or denormalization.
- SQL & PLSQL Proficiency in Snowflake.
- ELT/ETL development using Datastage, Airflow Snowflake
- Database Management, Snowflake, Oracle, MSSQL,
- DevOps & CI/CD understanding of Git, CI/CD pipeline development tool e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo
- Understanding of test automation e.g. Robot, Selenium and understand the different test scenarios
- Understanding version control technique Git, GitHub, GitLab
