Are you passionate about technology risk and compliance? Would you like build experience in strengthening the relationship between business and technology through application governance in Asset and Wealth management (AWM), where technology plays a key role for business? We are looking for a temporary Application Owner / Application Manager to join us as maternity leave cover, where you will drive application governance, compliance and risk management and ensure applications meet business, regulatory and technology requirements.
About our team
Meet the Application Portfolio and Data Management team within AWM COO. Our role is to support the business by ensuring our applications are well governed, compliant and fit for purpose, helping protect data, manage risk and enable stable and efficient solutions for our customers. Our team is part of AWM COO and works closely with both business and technology stakeholders to strengthen the relationship between business needs and technology capabilities in a regulated environment.

What youll be doing:
- Driving application governance, risk management and compliance within agreed risk appetite
- Coordinating and following up on key application management activities such as access management, continuity, backup and vulnerability management
- Acting as a key interface between business and technology stakeholders, supporting prioritisation and clear ways of working
- Ensuring applications are fit for purpose and aligned with business needs and target architecture
- Contributing and driving initiatives and projects related to application management, information security, regulatory requirements and business continuity
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you are proactive, structured and comfortable working in a regulated environment. You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders, take ownership of your work and can balance attention to detail with a broader business perspective. You are confident communicating and advising others and are motivated by delivering tangible results.
- Experience in application management, technology risk, compliance or a similar role
- Understanding of application operations and IT processes (e.g. ITIL)
- Ability to translate business requirements into applicationrelated actions
- Pro-active with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
It would be ideal if you also have:
- Experience with information security or regulatory frameworks (e.g. DORA)
- Worked in financial services or other regulated environments
- Experience working with vulnerability or application risk assessments
