Your Team Responsibilities

The team is responsible for supporting MSCIs Vantager Platform, enabling high-quality data ingestion, document processing, data extraction workflows, and the delivery of AI-enhanced data outputs to internal and external stakeholders. The team partners closely with Technology, Data Operations, Product, and Client Service to ensure that AI-driven processes are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business needs. We oversee data governance, exception handling, and the operationalization of AI models used across MSCIs analytics and client platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations of the Vantager Platform, including document management, data extraction workflows, and end-to-end data delivery, ensuring SLA adherence and operational quality.
  • Manage and optimize client setups and GP access configurations, serving as the primary escalation point for complex or high-priority client data needs.
  • Own exception management for AI-driven data extraction, enrichment, and classification processes, including root-cause analysis and resolution of systemic issues.
  • Drive the training, tuning, and evaluation of AI models, establishing quality benchmarks and ensuring outputs meet governance, transparency, and auditability standards.
  • Develop and maintain operational controls and monitoring frameworks for AI-assisted processes, proactively identifying degradation in model performance.
  • Contribute to data governance frameworks, ensuring evolving AI processes remain compliant with MSCIs data standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a senior liaison to Technology, Product, Data Operations, and Client Service teams, leading joint workstreams to improve data pipelines, resolve platform issues, and deliver enhancements.
  • Translate operational insights into actionable recommendations for product and technology teams, influencing platform roadmap decisions.
  • Mentor and guide Associate-level team members, providing technical coaching, reviewing outputs, and supporting onboarding of new staff.
  • Identify, scope, and lead operational improvement initiatives, including automation of manual workflows, reduction of exception rates, and scalability enhancements.
  • Produce reporting and analytics on platform performance, operational KPIs, and AI model effectiveness for senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on private capital data, document processing methodologies, and AI-assisted data workflows within the team and across the organization.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (data science, computer science, finance, engineering, or similar).
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in data operations, data management, document processing, or a related financial services role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML workflows, including model supervision, output validation, supervised training processes, and governance of AI-generated data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of leading exception resolution, driving process improvements, and making high-judgment decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and manage stakeholder relationships across technology, product, and client-facing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex operational and AI topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data accuracy, auditability, and quality assurance in AI-assisted processes.
  • Knowledge of private capital data, fund administration, or investment operations datasets.
  • Experience with data pipeline tooling, workflow orchestration platforms, or cloud-based data environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, operational risk controls, or regulatory compliance requirements in financial services.
  • Prior experience mentoring or managing junior team members in an operational or analytical setting.
