Global Capital Markets (GCM) serves as the nexus between Investment Banking (IBD) and Sales & Trading. GCM comprises traditional market coverage and underwriting groups, as well as product groups focused on providing customised capital structure solutions for our clients. We work with clients on complex, innovative financing and risk management solutions in a fast-paced environment.

We are currently hiring for a VP to work in the Securitised Products Capital Markets (SPCM) team within GCM in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be part of the global SPCM team covering asset backed securitizations (ABS) and strategic initiatives involving a range of asset classes for Australian and APAC clients. This includes banks and non-bank lenders, and corporate clients in the Digital Infrastructure space.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of a broader IBD and GCM coverage initiative, advise clients on a range of asset backed debt financing solutions, including public and private ABS capital markets transactions as well as balance sheet warehouse financings
  • Project manage new issue ABS processes, including coordinating and communicating with key stakeholders and third parties (lawyers, accountants, rating agencies, trustees, etc.), and supervising work-streams with a strong focus on modelling and analytics
  • Research, evaluate opportunities and prepare pitches for clients within the securitisation product suite
  • Collaborate with balance sheet lending teams to deploy capital in ABS warehouses

Qualifications

  • 5 – 8 years of ABS, CMBS or RMBS securitisation-related experience
  • Deep understanding of the public and private ABS processes in Australia, including rating agency work, legal documentation and marketing processes
  • Strong numerical skills with a focus on analytics and cash flow modelling
  • Solid understanding of key legal aspects of securitisation
