Overview of the Role

The Prime Brokerage Strategist Team is part of the Institutional Equities Division. The team works with Core Prime Brokerage, Delta One Swap Desk and Stock Loan Desk covering the Asia region and the role is responsible for:

- Analysis of inventory & locate efficiency

- Development of workflow/alerting tools for Sales/Trading

- Development of reporting/analytics for risk and pricing

- Analytics/ad-hoc development to support new products

- Support and enhancement of strategist developed trader tools

- Collaborating with other divisions within the organization (IT, Operations, Controllers) to improve desk workflow/efficiency/risk controls

- Development of quick time-to-market technical enhancements to trading flows to meet near term trader, client, risk, or regulatory requirements

Requirements of the role:

  • 2-10 years related experience in trading/strats/quants/actuarial science/IT
  • Education background in Financial Engineering/ Mathematics/Physics/Economics/Computer Science
  • Strong analytical skill and IT related skillset

Desirable Technical Skills

- Statistical/data analysis

- Kdb+/q a big positive

- At least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, C++)

- Database programming (SQL, Sybase/DB2) a plus
