Full Job Description

We're seeking someone to join our IBD product control team as a Product Controller in ISG Finance to provide financial analysis and business performance metrics to support senior management decision making.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Product Controller Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross functional end-to-end product oversight.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making, advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
- Understand and adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
- Attest to data with respect to the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements which will ultimately role up into the externally reported financial statements
- Liaise with accounting policy to address any accounting questions that arise from new trade bookings
- Build and maintain networks with the Business Unit and other divisions
- Understand balance sheet, liquidity & funding movements related to the business activities
- Complete adhoc projects and queries as required by senior Finance and Business Unit management
- Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function - Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment and technical skills, including risks and key regulations relevant to the division
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to inspire and support others by providing positive and constructive feedback and to acknowledge efforts of and promote team members
- Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to distil complex issues into clear insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Initiative, independence, and strong time management
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with tools like Power BI or Alteryx is a bonus
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Holds a relevant degree or relevant professional qualification
- At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is

only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
