Department Profile:

Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division (IBD) builds and maintains close relationships with corporations and governments around the world in order to provide both traditional and innovative solutions that meet their individual strategic and financial needs.

Key Responsibilities:

This 12-month contract position is in the IPO transaction support team. General tasks and roles in the position:

  • Support the due diligence exercise for Hong Kong and US IPOs, including travelling to conduct site visits and due diligence meetings

  • Prepare and organize due diligence documentation in line with legal and regulatory requirements, including in accordance Hong Kong SFC Code of Conduct and Hong Kong Stock Exchange requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Legal from a reputable university, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant corporate finance industry and due diligence experience

  • Solid analytical skills, with familiarity or interest in investment banking and capital markets activities and products

  • Experience as an Auditor/Advisor in Big-4 / corporate law firm / investment banking / private equity would be an advantage

  • Fluency in Chinese and English, both verbal and written

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Solution-oriented, with ability to “think out of the box” and to manage to tight timelines

  • Ability to work independently, with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment

  • Organized and quick learner with business acumen
