Full Job Description

Our New York office is seeking talented investment bankers at the Associate or Vice President level to join Morgan Stanleys leading Insurance Investment Banking coverage team - with a core focus on Life/Annuity and P&C carriers. This role offers the opportunity to operate at the forefront of consolidation, capital optimization, and strategic transformation across the insurance industry. Successful candidates will work with large, blue-chip insurers on a wide range of complex transactions, including M&A, IPOs, private capital raises, debt financings, and other strategic advisory engagements. The team benefits from a consistent, high volume of executed deal flow, providing handson transaction exposure.

We work closely with insurance firm Csuite executives to deliver bestinclass strategic advice and execution, leveraging Morgan Stanleys full global platform and deep relationships across insurance, asset management, and capital markets. The role involves close collaboration with industry and product partners and offers a unique opportunity to build deep sector expertise, execution credentials, and longterm client relationships. Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of working in Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Finance, Strategy, or other finance-related fields
  • Successful experience dealing with complex transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of motivation, commitment, work quality, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in small, highperforming teams
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort interacting with senior clients
  • Strong capabilities in financial statement analysis, modeling, and valuation
  • Bachelors degree required; an MBA and/or CFA designation a plus
  • Series licensing or must obtain
  • Experience in the Life/Annuity and/or P&C sector would be an asset

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year for an Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
