We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Global Operations Position Control – Vice President. Global Operations Position Control (GOPC - Mumbai) is a part of the ISG Equity Operations team in Mumbai and provides support to various Business Units, Financial Control Group (FCG) & Derivative Client Processing (DCP) Groups within the firm.

The successful candidate will be liaising with the regional Equity & FID Derivative Middle Office Teams & Management, the Finance Control Group, IT and other operational support areas to ensure that controls are maintained and breaks are understood and resolved in a timely manner.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Vice President level within the Product Support & Services ISG, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Below are the primary functions performed by the Team:
  • Substantiation of Dividend/Coupon income accrued against the expected PnL.
  • Reconciliation of Trader’s Risk products and positions to Firm books and records and investigation and resolution of breaks.
  • Monitoring of specific system error queues, which require investigation and resolution to ensure the trade flows downstream.
  • Reconciliation of internal interest rate swaps.
  • Processing upcoming swaps maturities.
  • Investigation and resolution of realized cash flow breaks.
  • Production and distribution of swap reporting highlighting specific exceptions that require specific actions to resolve.


What you'll bring to the role:

  • Provide daily oversight and support for team members to help them achieve their daily goals and requirements.
  • Resolve any daily resourcing issues that may arise.
  • Managing Vendor relationship for deployed functions
  • Build and maintain a strong control & risk management environment. Ensure all risks, issues and control gaps are escalated appropriately as per daily procedures ensuring accountability is maintained until resolution
  • Ensure best practice is implemented as part of the Team’s daily processing requirement.
  • Help implement the department strategy working alongside the local and global teams and Senior Management.
  • Manage primary relationships in other regions and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct regular 1 to 1’s with staff to address the areas of career development, training, performance, and business processing.
  • Minimum 13-17 years’ experience with at least 5+ years managing teams
