Departmental Profile

The FID Interdepartmental Strategies team works with the onshore team to develop tools and data analysis for Sales and Trading to monitor the market and help the business be efficient in their daily activities.

This role will require the candidate to partner within various verticals of FID Strats, Sales and Trading desk as well as other firm functions including but not limited to Technology, Finance and Risk Management groups. Part of the role will be ensuring that Fixed Income solutions are aligned with the overall Firms risk management and technology strategy.

Role Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain tools and data analysis for FID S&T to analyse market behaviour, visualize real time data and client flows.
• Apply statistical and data science skills to financial datasets to help S&T in their decision making.
• Support the desk in their daily activities.
• Development of frameworks for various reporting and analytical tools.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong coding skills (Java/Python/C++).
• Good to have experience with SQL/ any RDBMS/ KDB/Q.
• Knowledge of statistics and data science.
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work thoughtfully and independently and manage multiple projects.
• Interest in finance and financial instruments
