What youll do in the role:
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking a Director, Software Engineer in Chicago, IL to build technical tools, connections, and capabilities to support internal business needs. Develop and maintain software solutions that support business needs. Design, develop, deliver, and support the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business. Develop prototypes and third-party service integration. Develop software applications for financial markets with understanding of Equities, Futures, and Options. Work within the Scrum Framework and Agile methodologies. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
What youll bring to the role:
-Requires a Masters degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
-Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, or a related occupation
-Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
- Java;
- Spring;
- Spring Boot;
- Developing prototypes;
- Third party service integration;
- Multi-threading and networking protocols;
- Streaming Technologies;
- Scrum Framework;
- Agile methodologies;
- Linux environments;
- Git;

Salary range for the position: $146,000 - $150,000 /Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
