Firm Risk Management
Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Background on the Position
The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Credit Risk Management area which is a team dedicated to evaluating credit risk transactions considering the availability and appropriateness of arrangements for reducing risk or risk mitigation. The department also assigns Internal Credit Ratings; establishes and manages credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance established by the Board; monitors and reports on credit risk exposures on a regular basis to the Chief Risk Officer and Firm Risk Management. CRM also interacts with business units to ensure that credit risk assessments are factored into business decisions.

This role entails assessing credit risk associated with ABS and infrastructure (digital, energy) lending facilities, including the review of loan structures, pledged collateral, and risk mitigation strategies.

Primary Responsibilities
> Lead the Credit underwriting and approval process for the origination of digital and civil infrastructure loans, as well as renewals, amendments, and modifications of existing facilities, ensuring alignment with the firm's risk appetite and business objectives
> Manage and oversee monitoring of the existing loan portfolio, driving analysis and reporting of risk profiles, trends, industry developments, and concentrations
> Facilitate and lead meetings with key stakeholders, including external clients, firm credit committees, and business unit discussions
> Coordinate review of due diligence materials; actively participating in client diligence, site visits and assessment of appraisals/valuations
> Mentor and empower junior team members through training and professional development

Experience
> Bachelor's degree or equivalent
> Minimum 5 years of experience covering structured / project finance infrastructure lending (e.g. data centre financing, fibre, energy etc.), ideally within Credit risk
> Strong knowledge of the lending process, transaction structures and documentation (e.g. term sheets and facility agreements)
> Understanding of financial markets, financing instruments, associated legal documentation and lending structures
> Knowledge of basic accounting / financial concepts and familiarity with credit metrics
> Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
> Ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative environment
> An interest in working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables
> Strong analytical skills, experience in financial analysis and modelling
> Strong attention to detail and ability to provide information in usable formats (proficiency in Microsoft office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
> Fluency in English (required)
