Background on the Team

Operations Risk & Regulatory Control (ORRC) partners across Global Operations and the Firm to identify and mitigate risk; understand and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements; and support the Firm's financial and operational well-being.

The Global Operations Resilience department leads and develops our ability to respond to, recover, learn from and prevent disruptions through multiple disciplines across the entire spectrum of possible consequences, outcomes, and impacts:

  • Business Continuity planning, documentation and testing to ensure preparedness in the face of a business disruption event
  • Key Business Services (KBS) focused on the Firm's Critical Operations, supporting assets and external service providers
  • Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) providing Global coordination and leadership
  • Material Service Entity (MSE) defines service company principles & monitors network compliance
  • Data Analytics, Transformation Risk and Automation


Position Description

This ED will be the Resilience lead for Asia Operations, defining and ensuring a Resilience execution strategy which meets current and future resilience requirements in partnership with Fusion/Firm Resilience, ORRC, ORD, TOR, Operations and Technology leadership. The ED will also be responsible for managing the Operations Resilience Global hub team providing support to the regional teams and global functions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • First point of contact for Operations regional management
  • Deliver governance and communications on resilience initiatives and represent Operations Resilience on regional oversight committees
  • Ensure Operations remains compliant with regional resilience specific regulatory requirements and provide guidance on new, region specific, regulatory interpretations
  • Manage Operations regulatory exam pertaining to operational resilience deliverables specific to the region
  • Partner with Firm Res and Ops Res Silo Coverage to implement regional KBS program
  • Execute resilience projects impacting region and define silo coverage support
  • Define annual GC Business Continuity test plan with site leads
  • Partner with Silo and Functional Coverage Leads to maintain global alignment in overlapping deliverables
  • Leading the Global Operational Resilience hub team and providing the necessary support to the regional and functional teams/leads > Bachelor's degree or more
  • 15+ years of financial industry experience
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to the team on strategies and assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, executive presence, and an innovative mindset
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and recognizing/escalating divergent priorities
  • Operations experience a plus, transformation program management experience a must

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or more
  • 15+ years of financial industry experience
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to the team on strategies and assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, executive presence, and an innovative mindset
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and recognizing/escalating divergent priorities
  • Operations experience a plus, transformation program management experience a must
