Our entrepreneurial Digital Platforms team is seeking a high-performing fintech Product Manager with a passion for building innovative technology, formulating innovative solutions to complex problems, and helping scale our platform.

As a Product Manager, you will work on exciting technology initiatives to bring new products live to market for both the Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE client facing platforms on Web and Mobile, with a focus on funding flows. This is a highly collaborative role, where you will work closely with our team of digital Product Managers and collaborate with cross-functional designers, engineers, operations, legal, risk, compliance, fraud, and business partners to transform the experience for all of our customers. You will help define and drive the digital product strategy and then develop, launch, and enhance the platform to meet the unique needs of our customers.

In the Wealth Management division, we help people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals

Wealth Management (WM) Platforms manages industry-leading platforms, across all WM channels and client segments, to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions. WM Platforms consists of ten sub-teams including: Field Experience & Platforms, Digital Client Experience & Platforms, Workplace Platforms, Automation & Workflow, Digital Trading & Investing, Generative AI, UX Design & Research, Strategy & Execution, WM Platforms Risk, and the Chief Operating Office.

What youll do in the role:

  • Design innovative new products with market leading competitive advantages

  • Work with technology, business, and operations partners to define and write requirements / user stories

  • Engage in end user research, and use data analysis to inform requirements writing, and wireframe design of new products

  • Engage in end user testing, supervise execution of test plan

  • Design testing strategies, engage in end user testing, supervise execution of test plan

  • Present findings, project updates, engagement/adoption metrics to executive leadership and key stakeholders

  • Work in Agile product management teams, collaborating with design, research, technology, legal and compliance teams and driving decision-making across cross-functional groups is preferred


Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of technology product management or software development

  • Professional experience in consumer technology, banking, wealth management and/or top tier consulting firm with a focus on digital strategy is a plus

  • Understanding of banking deposit products, payments, systems, and latest developing tech in this space

  • BA/BS required

  • Experience with software delivery methodologies including Agile

  • Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacity

  • Understanding of retail banking space and emerging technologies

  • Deep understanding of web and mobile technologies

  • Focus on usability and eye for design

  • Excellent relationship building capabilities with partners both internal and external to the organization

  • Self-motivated/independent and comfort working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strategic thinker able to define and evaluate problems and solutions, and translate goals into specific project tasks

  • Excellent communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills

  • Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability for work

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
