Skills and Competencies
- Well-developed analytical and modelling skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are mandatory
- Python programming and Visual Basic for Applications knowledge preferred
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Students matriculating in a degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field
- Ideally one year ahead of graduation
Responsibilities
- Review performance of existing transactions and assist in preparing quarterly surveillance reports
- Analyze transaction documents to understand legal, operational, and counterparty risks
- Analyze characteristics of underlying portfolios and performance history
- Apply default and cash flow modeling in line with Moodys Local rating methodologies
- Attend virtual and in-person meetings with originators, advisors, and transaction participants
- Assist in preparing rating committee materials
- Support timely and relevant research on issuers and sector-related topics
- Assist in rating methodology, model, and scorecard updates
