Skills & Competencies
- 10+ years of experience in a client-facing role within insurance, financial services, information services, or data analytics industries, preferably with exposure to software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders during complex sales cycles
- Strong commercial mindset and sales mentality, with the ability to lead solutionoriented sales discussions, align solutions to client needs, and drive the presales process to win new customers
- Proven ability to analyze business processes and workflows to identify client pain points and map Moodys solutions to business and risk management challenges
- Experience supporting complex sales cycles and technical sales of datadriven or workflowbased SaaS solutions, including managing demos, proofsofconcept, trials, and evaluations (desired)
- Interest in or experience with solutions for Credit Analysis and Portfolio Management within the insurance industry, especially Casualty and Financial Lines (desired)
- Interest in or experience with technologies such as Spark, SQL, or Python for understanding data inputs, analytical outputs, and workflow integration in presales evaluations (desired)
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with enthusiasm for learning how AIenabled toolssuch as copilots, automation, and advanced analyticscan improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring agentic AI systems and willingness to develop awareness in responsible AI practices, including risk management, governance, and ethical use
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field is a plus
Responsibilities
- Drive the presales process with a focus on solution alignment through tailored demonstrations, proofsofconcept, and trial evaluations
- Support sales colleagues from qualification through solution alignment, clearly articulating value throughout the sales cycle
- Conduct indepth analyses of client workflows, processes, and business requirements to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Map Moodys insurance solutions to client needs, with strong understanding of Underwriting for Casualty and Financial Lines, Risk Selection, and Data Analysis
- Demonstrate solution value through product demos, proofsofconcept, trial evaluations, and datadriven discussions reflecting real insurance use cases
- Collaborate closely with product and technical teams to understand solution architecture and capabilities, enabling scalable solution design
- Design highlevel solutions and discuss functional and technical alternatives with stakeholders across risk, underwriting, operations, and IT
- Ensure seamless integration and connectivity across Moodys products to create a cohesive workflow experience
- Partner with specialized technical and GenAI-focused teams to support presales engagements involving AIenabled analytics or automation
- Assist with AI- or GenAIenabled proofofconcept activities, including data review, workflow alignment, and value articulation
- Serve as a conduit between clients and product development teams by conveying structured feedback and insights for product enhancement
- Ability to travel up to 30%
About the Team
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $135,700.00 - $196,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
