The Trade Support Specialist will ensure accurate trade capture and settlement across a variety of fixed income and other products, working closely with portfolio managers, prime brokers, and global teams. The role includes trade confirmation/reconciliation, investigating and resolving settlement breaks for both bilateral and cleared derivatives, monitoring trade queues, and supporting new product onboarding and system implementations. The position requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who can manage projects to improve processes and efficiency and who has strong product knowledge of US Treasuries, corporate bonds, mortgages and related securities.

Full Job Description
Millennium is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Trade Support specialist to join our Operations team. This position will offer exposure to various markets and the opportunity to work between several teams globally in the firm as well as directly with portfolio managers and our Prime Brokers. The successful candidate will have the initiative to seek out opportunities to work on strategic projects and be able to manage them through completion, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency. They will also be on a small team with broad product exposure to various bond products, including domestic and other non-dollar and emerging markets.
Principal Responsibilities
- Ensure proper trade capture upon execution of key products including US Treasuries, Corporate bonds, Mortgage securities, Commodities, Futures, Equities and Foreign Exchange
- Reconciliation of trading affirmation/confirmation platforms
- Research/Resolve settlements breaks for both bilateral and cleared derivatives
- Monitor Trade Queues
- Ensure compliance of regulatory rules
- New Product Onboarding
- System Implementation
Qualifications/Skills Required
- 5+ years of experience at a financial services firm with an undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline (finance, economics, accounting, etc.)
- Strong product and working knowledge of US Treasuries including Treasury Auctions, Corporate Bonds, Syndicate, Convertible Bonds, Muni, Mortgages and Agency Securities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with PM’s and brokers
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Excel
- Well- organized, detail- oriented; able to multi-task and keep track of various deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
