Production Support Engineer

The Core Technology Production Support team owns and supports a suite of business‑critical applications used by Middle Office, Operations, Treasury, and Trading. These platforms are central to the firm’s PnL calculations, risk management, and regulatory reporting.

The team partners closely with application development teams to ensure the production environment is stable, resilient, and continuously evolving. It plays a key role in enabling rapid delivery of new features and functionality, while also ensuring the global support organization has the knowledge, tools, and documentation needed to effectively manage day‑to‑day production incidents and alerts.

Principal Responsibilities

  • End to end ownership of the production environment
    • Infrastructure management
    • Release planning and deployment
    • Incident and problem management, including root cause analysis
    • Capacity Planning / BCP Testing
  • Build strong relationships with development and end-users/clients
    • Foster the DevOps culture
    • Focus on client service and delivery
  • Become the go-to person for your area of responsibility
    • Build subject matter expertise
    • Create and maintain high quality documentation and runbooks
    • Cross train other Support team members

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience supporting an enterprise environment
  • Must have previous experience supporting business facing applications
  • Strong scripting skills in one of the following: Python (preferred), PowerShell, Perl, etc.
  • Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems
  • Must be able to run and understand complex queries
  • Ability to support both Windows and Unix/Linux environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a trading environment
  • Exposure to the following:
    • CI/CD (Jenkins/Octopus/Artifactory)
    • Metrics/KPIs (Datadog/Influx/Tableau)
    • Kafka
    • Kubernetes
    • AI (MCP/Agents)
