We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development of our Unstructured Data and Content Discovery Platform, which will enable trading teams, portfolio managers, risk managers, and AI/application teams to access, process, and utilize unstructured data such as broker research, company filings, earnings reports, central bank press releases, news articles, podcasts, and multimedia content.

This role involves defining the vision, strategy, and execution of the platform, with a focus on Generative AI (Gen-AI) techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), document processing, and knowledge search/discovery. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable data processing platforms for unstructured data and possess strong program and project management skills to ensure timely delivery, scope management, and accountability across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy

• Define the vision and roadmap for the unstructured data platform, aligning with the needs of trading teams, risk managers, and AI/application teams.

• Develop detailed product specifications for data ingestion, enrichment, discovery, and search functionalities, emphasizing AI-driven solutions and scalability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with content specialists to understand the structure and nuances of unstructured data sources and processing workflows.

• Collaborate with portfolio managers, risk managers, and AI/engineering teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Generative AI Enablement

• Document Processing: Work with AI teams to process and structure complex documents, including tables, graphs, and multimedia content, for AI enrichment.

• Knowledge Search and Discovery: Build systems that enable intuitive and efficient search and discovery of enriched data, tailored to user needs.

Data Platform Development

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data processing platforms for unstructured data.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop robust ETL pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, structuring, and enrichment.

• Ensure the platform supports advanced AI techniques, NLP, and machine learning workflows while optimizing data storage and retrieval.

Program and Project Management

• Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, scoping, prioritization, development, testing, and release management.

• Ensure timely execution by resolving dependencies, managing scope creep, and holding teams accountable.

• Track progress against tight timelines and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

User Experience and Data Discovery

• Design intuitive user experiences for data discovery, search, and exploration, tailored to the needs of portfolio managers and other business users.

Quality and Compliance

• Collaborate with Legal & Compliance teams to ensure adherence to licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.

• Implement processes to monitor data quality and usability, defining metrics to measure the platform’s impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven product management experience in building complex software products, preferably in financial services, data platforms, or AI-driven applications. This includes creating a vision, defining use cases and requirements, writing specifications, driving feedback and user-acceptance.

• Expertise in building scalable data processing platforms, particularly for unstructured data.

• Strong understanding of Generative AI, including RAG, document processing, NLP, and knowledge search/discovery systems.

• Knowledge of data processing workflows, AI enrichment techniques, and ETL pipelines.

• Familiarity with financial content such as broker research, company filings, earnings reports, and central bank press releases.

• Ability to work cross-functionally with portfolio managers, risk managers, engineers, and AI teams to align product vision with business needs.

• Strong program and project management skills, including managing tight timelines, dependencies, and scope creep.

• Experience in designing user-friendly interfaces for data discovery and search.

• Understanding of content licensing agreements, compliance requirements, and access controls.
