Job Description:

As the People Analytics Lead, you will lead a team focused on turning HR data into actionable insights for the firm. You will partner closely with business and HR stakeholders to understand their questions, define analytics requirements, and deliver high‑quality solutions such as self‑service dashboards, reports, and data marts. This is a hands‑on role that blends leadership, stakeholder engagement, and technical execution.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Shape and advance the firm’s people analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business and HR priorities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into clear functional requirements.
  • Design and document technical solutions, including data models, data flows, and reporting specifications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain self‑service dashboards and reports (primarily in Tableau).
  • Use Alteryx (or similar ETL tools) to build and optimize data marts and pipelines for analytics.
  • Work in an agile manner, effectively leveraging Jira for planning, tracking, and documentation.
  • Proactively communicate progress, risks, and issues to your manager and key stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of analysts/engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with HR data (e.g., headcount, talent, recruiting, compensation, performance).
  • Significant, hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports in Tableau.
  • Experience with Alteryx or a comparable data transformation/ETL tool.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming data.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Should have a point of view on how AI can be used to support the People Analytics function.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a small team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to explain complex topics in simple terms.
  • Broad understanding of business and technology, with awareness of trends in HR analytics and HR technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in ambiguous situations.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
