Corporate Technology Support Engineer

Millennium Management is a global, diversified alternative investment firm that manages approximately $87 billion in assets. The firm has more than 6,600 employees globally and 18 primary offices across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Millenniums investment strategies are focused primarily on the equities, fixed income, and commodities markets

Department

Core Technology develops systems and processes to support the core infrastructure functions within the firm including Treasury, Middle Office, Operations, Finance and Compliance.

The Role

This role is within the Core Technology Support & DevOps Team. The technology stack includes amongst other technologies Python, Scala, Java, Angular, Kafka and various AWS platforms.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day Support for multiple systems across MLP

  • Hands on ops tasks to improve the software delivery process and user experience

  • End to end support for projects involving for Middle Office and Operations

  • Drive process improvements via automation and the use of AI

  • Lead application onboarding initiatives

Requirements

  • 2+ Years experience in a technical support role within financial services or investment management

  • Candidates who are interested in a future career at a top-tier alternative asset financial services firm

  • Major in Computer Science or similar preferred

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork and analytical skills

  • AWS Cloud & AI tooling experience is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to adapt to any situation quickly

  • Strong interpersonal skills - hardworking, friendly, honest, enthusiastic

  • Strives to drive continuous improvement
