Based in our So Paulo office as part of McKinsey Operations in Latin America, you will play a key role in helping clients address their most critical procurement challenges. 
In this role, you will conduct in-depth analyses and define category strategies, building and applying expert knowledge in procurement. You will also work closely with McKinseys global network of consultants to advance the firms expertise in this domain, continuously enhancing your own skills while contributing to the development of knowledge within the firm.
Our Operations practice combines strategic insight with practical implementation to help clients solve complex operational challenges. We design and execute strategies that drive meaningful impact, addressing critical issues across industries.
Within Operations, the Product Development & Procurement service line is a dynamic and fast-growing area. We support organizations in achieving product and cost transformations, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, customer experience, and leveraging advanced digital and analytical solutions to unlock growth.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree Concluded. An advanced degree in related  to Engineering fields or an MBA is considered a plus
  • Proven experience in procurement and strategic sourcing in a relevant area
  • Familiarity with procurement tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of procurement methodologies, including category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead organizational change
  • Passion for operational excellence and driving transformational change
  • Willingness to travel as needed 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Native Portuguese
