Your Impact

In this role, you will regularly interface with clients of all tenures and a multi-disciplinary group of McKinsey colleagues including client facing consultants, M&A experts, senior practice leaders, solution product managers, program managers, designers, and software engineers.
You will work closely with our clients and engagement teams to provide end-to-end support and coaching to ensure our clients successfully deliver on the full potential of deals.
You will be based in our Boston office in North America and part of our Strategy and Corporate Finance practice (S&CF). myIMO (my Integration Management Office) is the rapidly growing flagship software solution of McKinsey's S&CF practice. myIMO helps our clients oversee and execute on their integration and separation programs from start to finish, with our gold standard best practices and IP infused directly into the platform.
You will interpret client business requirements and translate them into myIMO configuration design decisions at the early stages of deployment. You will provide and help facilitate live product training and demos to consultants and engagement teams and assist in the onboarding of client users as myIMO is rolled out to our clients. You'll author and maintain training guides and shape self-service learning curriculums as part of the client training process.  As you interface between our product and engagement teams, you will help answer day-to-day questions posed by clients and help triage urgent technical issues within the solution as they arise. You will contribute to the technical definition of software product requirements and design documents as existing features are refined, and new features are shaped and formalized.
When new features and enhancements are released to myIMO, you will help document and oversee a seamless change management process with client engagement teams and clients so that they are able to fully leverage the continuous improvements made to myIMO.  Throughout the deployment, you will collect and organize all feedback from clients and consultants to be used as a direct input to product roadmap and design decisions. At the end of the deployment, you will conduct user research interview sessions with clients and engagement teams to further distill insights that we can leverage for future product innovations.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a technical field required; Master's degree highly preferred
  • 2+ years professional experience with 1+ year of relevant professional work experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, consulting and/or business intelligence
  • Experience in technology consultancy and/or implementing or supporting SaaS or web-based software platforms
  • Experience in service delivery, project management and change management
  • Strong command of MS Excel, VBA, SQL, JSON and other technical tools
  • Experience with authoring technical software requirements and design documents
  • Entrepreneurial and comfortable with initiative and ambiguity
  • Outstanding quantitative/analytical capabilities; very strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate discussions and conduct training
