Role Summary

Purpose of Role

The Onboarding Intern supports day‑to‑day client onboarding by coordinating account setup activities, conducting Know Your Customer reviews, and ensuring completion of required compliance documentation. It collaborates with internal teams to facilitate timely onboarding, assists with projects such as new business launches and remediation initiatives, and helps maintain accurate records for reporting and audit readiness. By contributing to data reconciliation and identifying process gaps, the role enhances onboarding efficiency and overall client experience.

Responsibilities      

  • Support day-to-day client onboarding activities, including Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and account setup coordination.
  • Assist with onboarding-related projects such as new business launches and remediation exercises to improve process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of onboarding documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in client data reconciliation and general data cleanup tasks, depending on technical skillset and experience.
  • Help track onboarding progress and maintain records to support reporting and audit readiness.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and suggesting enhancements to onboarding workflows.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration is preferred but information systems / technology data science is accepted. 

• Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.
