Join LSEGs dynamic Group Resilience team as a specialist team leader driving, embedding and enhancing resilience practices across LSEG.
The First Line of Defence (1LoD) Group Resilience team works alongside all LSEGs divisions and Group functions to provide advice, support and expertise ensuring that all elements of the Resilience framework requirements (Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Operational Resilience) are being driven in line with regulatory and internal policy expectations.
Reporting to the Group Director of Group Resilience, this position requires an experienced and collaborative people manager who is a subject matter expert in both Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience. and has extensive experience in working with and influencing senior internal customers. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with those involved in the operational delivery of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience to ensure that all related "business as usual" activities are embedded across the Group in 2026 and beyond.
This position will be directly responsible for ensuring our internal customers meet their policy, standards and framework requirements. To do this the individual will manage and develop a small team of subject matter experts based in Manila and Bengaluru, who provide advice, guidance and direct support to these customers. The individual will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of LSEGs Group standards and detailed frameworks.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring LSEGs ability to withstand and adapt to disruption, safeguarding critical services for global markets and customers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage the provision of advice, guidance and support to internal customers, in LSEGs Global Divisions and Group Functions. Drive the execution and completion of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience requirements.
- Manage the primary relationship for a group of senior internal customers. Drive excellence in delivery and provide challenge to customers, as required, to ensure they meet the requirements. Act as a liaison and provide insight into all elements of Group Resilience.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with resilience professionals across the Firm, partnering with them to consistently embed Resilience across multiple business lines and functions.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of BCM and Operational Resilience specialists.
- Provide updates and critical issues at resilience governance forums and specialist working groups on the compliance of internal customers in delivering on their requirements.
- Proactively identify and drive Group Resilience improvement initiatives. Management of additional ad hoc projects and deliverables as required.
- Support the ongoing learning and awareness agenda for Group Resilience, inputting to the crafting of appropriate training material, provision of Group communication and supporting ongoing execution and training for key collaborators internally.
Skills and Experience Required:
Specialist & Regulatory Knowledge
- Excellent understanding and hands-on experience in delivering Business Continuity Management requirements in a global organisation.
- Solid understanding of Operational Resilience principles, methodologies, and standard processes. Plus, an understanding of global resilience regulatory requirements (at a minimum the UK Operational Resilience Policy (PS21/3))
- Experience in documenting or contributing to formal standards or guidance documentation.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities
- Experience working on significant change initiatives in a regulated or complex organisation.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and with the ability to motivate others to do the same.
- An understanding of how AI can be utilised in a Resilience context.
Communication, Collaborator Engagement & Culture
- Excellent UK English communication skills (oral, written and presentation) and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong relationship management and engagement skills with demonstratable ability to establish trusting relationships with, often challenging, customers at all levels in the organisation.
- Proven background in managing, training and coaching individuals and teams
- A strong great teammate who is used to operating in diverse global, , cross border teams.
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative way with other departments (i.e. other resilience disciplines, 2LoD, 3LoD) to achieve own department goals and objectives.
- A highly organised self-starter, with a can-do attitude, outcome focussed with positive energy and drive that encourages and motivates others.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office products.
- Knowledge of tooling solutions for BCM, Operational Resilience and process mapping tooling
Desirable Certifications
- Business Continuity certification (BCI or DRI), Certification in Operational Resilience or relevant regulatory training is desirable.
