Position Summary
The role of the Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and a valuable solution. The position will manage a defined book of business aligned by customer segment within a geography and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals. You will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution and Proposition Sales.
Role Responsibilities:
- Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement
- Ensure delivery of great service to the accounts
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the customer decision makers strategies, priorities and needs
- Maintain solid understanding of LSEG's propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
- Build and embed a long term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts
- Drive growth by expanding LSEG's footprint within their accounts
- Oversee all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end to end customer relationship
- Define account strategy and lead the account plan
- Accountable for retention of existing revenue and delivery of overall revenue growth
- Focus on customer's satisfaction, work on understanding customer's business, workflows and priorities, develop high value contact network within accounts
- Co-ordinates the implementation of global strategy on local level
- Identification of new opportunities
- Work with and bring in experts/specialists onto the team where required, have oversight of all account activities. Prioritize resources in the account team
- Responsible for forecasting, timely account reporting to management, gather intelligence on competitor activity, and feedback to marketing
- Act as a single point of contact for the client for account management issues
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 3 years experience and a strong background in Sales/account management
- Good understanding of the financial markets and key industry trends
- Relationship building skills
- Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
- Problem solving--ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
- Presentation and communication skills: ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse account team
- Mother tongue equivalent German language skills mandatory; English: fluency written and spoken
