WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our hub locations.

About this opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for a Proposition Manager to join our Longstanding Proposition Team.  The team supports 1.8m customers with £45bn of assets across ~250 life, pension, protection and investment products.

Our Longstanding book is strategically and financially important to Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) and the wider Group.  With a multi-year re-platforming project now completed, the team is focused on evolving our strategy to improve customer experience & outcomes, whilst working in partnership with strategic outsourced suppliers and key stakeholders.

As a Proposition Manager, you’ll be a member of the Optimisation feature team in the Delighting Customers Lab, part of the Colleague and Customer Service Platform in IP&I. You will manage the development and delivery of product and fund simplification opportunities impacting Longstanding customers, which supports positive customer and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to interpret product terms and conditions along with regulatory and legislative requirements, ensuring our products and customers remain compliant and protected.
  • Apply your product knowledge and analytical skills to propose innovative solutions that balance customer, business, and strategic needs.
  • Lead and facilitate the implementation of changes, utilising agile change methodologies whilst collaborating with product owners, customer journey managers and outsourced suppliers.
  • Take ownership for embedding robust risk & control management in delivering change and your daily role.

What you’ll need:

  • Strong working knowledge of Life, Pensions, and/ or Investment products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - You’ll be influencing and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in shaping and proposing solutions.
  • A keen interest in the regulatory and legislative landscape affecting insurance products.
  • Experience delivering change initiatives with a customer-centric mindset, whilst managing multiple priorities.

Additional experience that will be useful:

  • The ability to work with datasets
  • Familiarity with agile practices, participation in feature teams and experience with tools like JIRA.
  • Collaborating with outsourced suppliers.
