The ability to interpret complex financial regulation and market data, utilising strong numerical and problem solving skills to create financial models to value positions, to produce corroborative analysis and explanations to support the valuations and advise on technical transactions (across Insurance, Independent Price Verification and Treasury Finance).Job Description
Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business. Develops and/or delivers a plan for significant aspects of the financial management and/or control process. Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a workstream within the organisation's change management programme with guidance from senior colleagues. Develops and/or delivers a contingency plan for significant aspects of the risk management and/or control process. Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs. Develops and/or delivers elements of a strategic planning system with guidance from senior colleagues. Develops and/or delivers budget plans for own area with guidance from senior colleagues. Supports internal customers to ensure their needs are met and/or helps senior colleagues manage client relationships. Takes responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework with guidance from senior colleagues, while informally coaching others throughout the organisation in area of expertise and pursuing and investing in opportunities for own personal development.
