About our team
Are you looking for a new role, in a high-profile team? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Product modelling Team in Commercial Banking (CB) Finance, based in Bristol.
CB Finance supports the CB businesses, Business & Commercial Banking and Corporate & Institutional Banking. Both are integral areas of LBG, offering customers a full suite of core banking products, including lending, transaction banking, working capital management and financial markets.
CB Finance plays a key role in providing analysis and insight on business performance. We have c.200 finance colleagues spread across 3 hubs in London, Edinburgh and Bristol, with a smaller number of colleagues in international offices. We operate as both a control function and partner to the business.
The Product modelling team is responsible for the overview of product performance, used for financial reporting, and forecasting future trends supporting the Group planning process. The team works closely with the product and coverage finance business partner teams (FBPs) and wider CB Finance teams, Group Finance, Group Corporate Treasury and the Finance Platform, collaboratively providing effective insight and decision support.

What youll be doing

Day to day youll be involved with a variety of activities including :-
Deliver the financial reporting, performance and planning overview for specific products within CB
Work with the wider Flash and Planning team to support delivery of the CB Flash and Forecast submissions into Group Finance
Build key relationships with FBP teams and Finance centres of excellence to deliver well together, understand income drivers and gather relevant inputs for the performance and planning process
Improving the efficiency of processes, while identifying and stopping redundant activity

Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience)
Credentials that demonstrate working in a time-pressured and dynamic environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to develop a broad network across the organisation and collaborate to achieve goals
A genuine drive to improve, and passion for making processes simpler and more efficient.
Experience of using PAX, and strong Excel skills (including model building).
Understanding of the CB business and organisational structure
And any experience of these would be great
Knowledge of applications such as Power BI would be an advantage
