Full Job Description
Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards. Conduct external audits, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. Research technical accounting issues. Understand and address SEC financial reporting issues. Review audit work papers. Test the design and effectiveness of internal financial controls for assigned clients. Assist with account functions, including billing, fee analysis, and new service development. Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients. Demonstrate in-depth accounting knowledge. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.
WORKSCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00a.m.5:00 p.m.)
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field,and 5 years of related work experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree,employer will accept an additional 2 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years ofexperience with the following: U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) or International Standards for Financial Reporting (IFRS); U.S.Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) or International Standards onAuditing (ISA); Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) AuditingStandards; SEC financial reporting issues, including SEC filings for publicengagements; and Testing internal accounting procedures and communicatingfindings to clients.
Must have an active New Jersey CPA license.
Travel to various locations throughout the US requiredup to 5%.
Telecommuting may be permitted within commutabledistance from the office location depending on business need.
