KKR sponsors investment funds that invest in private equity, credit and real assets and has strategic partners that manage hedge funds. KKR’s insurance subsidiaries offer retirement, life and reinsurance products under the management of Global Atlantic Financial Group. About the Team

The Portfolio Monitoring Unit (PMU) oversees KKR’s Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) investments, providing analytics, valuation, and strategic oversight across a portfolio of more than 200 transactions. Headquartered in Dublin, with team members in London and Gurugram, the PMU is expanding in support of KKR’s rapidly growing High Grade ABF platform, which focuses on public and private ABS/ABF investments in the investment-grade and near-investment-grade space.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the data infrastructure that underpins this platform, ensuring reliable data pipelines, accurate reporting, and high-quality analytical support for the portfolio management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows supporting the monitoring of public and private ABS transactions.
  • Enhance internal portfolio management systems by integrating cashflow and exposure data from FactSet, Intex, and internal risk systems.
  • Develop ETL processes and APIs linking Python-based models, Intex outputs, and reporting tools.
  • Automate aggregation of key performance metrics, valuations, and risk indicators across multiple data sources.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and analytical tools (Power BI and/or Tableau) for portfolio monitoring and investment reporting.
  • Partner closely with the portfolio management team to deliver data-driven insights on exposures, performance, and risk.
  • Maintain robust data governance, validation, and reconciliation frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders (Risk, Finance, Investor Relations, ESG) with data extracts, analytics, and automation solutions.
  • Contribute to process improvement and scalability initiatives as the platform continues to grow.

Candidate Profile

  • Approximately 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within financial services, fixed income, or structured finance.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL and Python for data engineering, ETL development, and automation.
  • Proven experience building and managing data pipelines across multiple systems and APIs.
  • Familiarity with structured credit or ABS datasets (e.g., loan tapes, performance data, rating agency feeds, Intex).
  • Experience with FactSet, Intex, Bloomberg, and Excel preferred.
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced investment environment.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to help shape the data infrastructure of a growing High Grade ABS platform within a leading global investment firm.
  • Exposure to a wide range of structured finance and asset-backed investments.
  • A hands-on, high-impact role working closely with portfolio managers and investment professionals.
  • A collaborative, international team environment with strong opportunities for career development.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
