Join the HR Operations team as a US Payroll Specialist supporting accurate and timely payroll services. In this role, you will handle payroll and final pay inquiries end-to-end, apply policy and regulatory understanding to real employee cases, and partner with HR stakeholders to deliver clear, professional outcomes. You will gain exposure to complex payroll scenarios including terminations, final settlements, retro and missing pay, and exception handling. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a structured, service-measured environment. 

 

Job Summary
As a US Payroll Specialist within the HR Operations team, you will analyze, research, and resolve cases that have been logged into the case management system. You will work efficiently and respond to customers professionally, including the ability to understand, interpret, and explain JPMorgan Chase policies and guidelines.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • As a US Payroll specialist within the HR Operations team, you will analyze, research, and resolve cases that have been logged into the case management system. Must be able to work in an efficient and effective manner and respond to the customer in a professional manner. This includes the ability to understand, interpret, and explain JPMC Policies and Guidelines.
  • Manage cases, perform in-depth research, identify resources for providing information, follow through to obtain information, and resolve cases efficiently and thoroughly, meeting both volume and quality service measurement standards. 
  • Process terminations through H.R. system (HCM) which includes calculating final pay, vacation, severance, etc. according to federal/state/local guidelines and regulations
  • Understand formulas and be able to calculate various payments, which may include Retro, missing pay, penalties, overpayments and severance. 
  • Communicate with HR Business Partners, answer questions, and provide updates as needed.
  • Explain provisions of prior plans and impact of mergers/acquisitions, etc. on plans and benefits. 
  • Hours of operation will be Mid (EMEA) shift.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 2+ years of experience in US payroll, HR service delivery, or payroll transitions.
  • Must be a graduate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Final pay / offboarding payroll experience.
  • Exposure to HRMS systems; HCM experience.
