J.P. Morgan Commercial Investment Bank is a global leader in investment and wealth management, serving institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and retail investors worldwide.
As a Trading Analyst within Credit Portfolio Group (CPG), you drive Collateral Data Management, GAUSS control adherence, cross-LOB metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting Back Office, Middle Office, and global teams. You partner with Operations, Technology, and Front Office stakeholders to (re)design processes that strengthen data quality, governance, and operating efficiency across multiple asset classes. You oversee delivery for CSA discount curve mappings and ensure changes to CSAs are captured with clear P&L and risk impacts.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead tracking of remap negotiations and manage demand planning for NMCR phase 2 (non-cleared margin).
- Organize the team to accurately track, control, and evidence newly signed and amended CSAs.
- Execute daily processes that translate CSA terms into discount curves and FCFs across Lines of Business.
- Enforce key controls over CSA data changes, including curve overrides and approvals.
- Monitor data quality controls for inputs used in the CSA discount curve mapping process.
- Coordinate a global strategy and face off to multiple asset classes and stakeholder groups to deliver aligned outcomes.
- Partner with Operations, Technology, and Front Office teams globally to define requirements and implement process and control enhancements.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- CA/MBA with 4+ years experience, or Graduate/Post-Graduate with 5+ years experience in Derivative Operations (Middle Office / Back Office)
- Strong numerical, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication skills suitable for a global-facing role
- Demonstrated attention to detail, root-cause problem solving, and ability to prioritize and lead multiple tasks
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Hands-on experience with CSA governance, discount curve mapping, and collateral/margin regulation change programs (e.g., NMCR)
- Experience operating in a global production environment and coordinating across regions and asset classes
- Familiarity with control frameworks and audit-ready documentation for data changes and overrides (including GAUSS-aligned processes)
- People leadership experience building a continuous improvement culture and coaching teams on quality and risk mindset
