As a Senior Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Employee Platforms and Retail Branch, you exhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications

As an Infrastructure Developer for the Retail Branch Technology team, you will play a critical role in the engineering and automation of our branch infrastructure platforms. This role requires significant experience in both systems engineering and software development, with the ability to work across large, distributed infrastructure environments spanning multiple data centers. You will design and develop solutions that ensure enterprise-scale resiliency, security, and operational efficiency, with strong expertise in Windows environments. You will also contribute to the development and enhancement of control planes used to manage and operate our branch technology platforms. You will leverage automation frameworks including Ansible and Automation as a Service (AaaS), as well as AI tools and technologies, to enhance development workflows, accelerate delivery, and drive innovation across the branch technology ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of control planes for managing and operating branch technology platforms.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end systems automation and orchestration, leveraging Ansible and Automation as a Service (AaaS) to streamline operations and improve reliability.
  • Build and support systems and application monitoring, instrumentation, and alerting capabilities.
  • Develop software solutions using one or more programming languages, including Java, C, C++, Python, C#, and.NET.
  • Leverage AI tools and platforms, including LLMs such as Claude, Copilot, Gemini, and others, to improve developer efficiency, automate workflows, and deliver AI-enhanced solutions.
  • Engineer solutions across distributed operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), including systems programming.
  • Manage and automate endpoint management, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and related security and entitlement frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell, Bash, and other scripts and automation tools to support infrastructure operations at scale.
  • Support enterprise-scale security and entitlements, including SSO, Kerberos, LDAP, and Windows AD.
  • Work with modern compute technologies, including virtualization and cloud platforms, to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.

     

 

Required Qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure development, systems engineering, or software development in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Significant experience in both systems engineering and software development.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following infrastructure disciplines: distributed operating system internals (Windows required), or systems programming.
  • Strong Windows administration and engineering skills, including Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2025.

     

  • Experience with Automation as a Service (AaaS) platforms and frameworks.
  • Experience in large-scale software development in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Python, Java, C#,.NET.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and related identity and access management technologies.
  • Experience with AI tools and platforms, including LLMs (Claude, Copilot, Gemini, Pi, etc.) and their application in development and automation workflows.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale resiliency, distributed systems, and multi-data center environments.
